Blog terms.

There are several basic terms that you should know about blog instead of ‘blog’ itself such as;
1. blogger – author / the person who write blogs.
2. blogosphere – blogs community.
3. blogroll – list of external links appeared on a blog that links to other blogs.
4. blogware – software to run blog.
5. comment spam – like e-mail spam that flood blog with advertising.
6. content syndication – how site’s author makes part of its content for posting in another website.
7. moblog – contracting of mobile blog, while it can be updated using mobile phone or PDA.
8. photoblog – blog which allowed you to posts photos.
9. podcasting – contracting ipod and broadcasting.
10. permalink – web address of each item posted on a blog.
11. post – an item posted on a blog (text, photo, audio, video, external links) which visitors can comment on it.
12. RSS – stands for ‘really simple syndication’. alerts users about the updated blog contents.
13. RSS aggregator – software or online service allowing blogger to read an RSS feed. Also called a feeder.
14. RSS feed – the file containing blog’s latest posts. Read by RSS aggregator.
15. Webring – a network of similar websites also a web traffic generator. A simple webring navigation code that when correctly placed on your site will connect you to every other site in your selected webring community.
