Webmasters realize the importance of page rankings in getting traffic to their site. Some webmasters would even 'cheat' the search engines to increase their page ranks. There are many ways of 'cheating' the search engines, but remember that the search engines will banned you if they found you attracting traffic by cheating. Here are some ways you should avoid, from being banned by the search engines;
(a) Don't use hidden text. Some people write hidden text by creating texts that have the same color with the background color of their site. They do this to add their keywords. Just try to do this but if search engines caught you, for sure you'll be banned.
(b) Avoid Alt image spamming. Its like using hidden texts, but just differs in style that those hidden texts are written on graphics or pictures.
(c) Avoid META tag staffing. It is not wise to duplicate or repeat keywords. Use different keywords. You site may not be indexed if you repeat the same keywords in your webpages.
(d) Avoid title tag staffing. Like META tag staffing but just that you repeat the title, instead of repeating the keywords. But repeating the title is not professional and your site will definitely not being indexed.
(e) Avoid bad neighbour link. Don't exchange link with banned sites. You can know whether those sites are banned by the search engines or not by using Mozilla Firefox instead of using Internet Explorer. Mozilla Firefox with Google Toolbar will display Google page rank at the right bottom of the browser's windows bar. Your site will be banned if you have links to those banned sites.
