Books i borrowed from the UMS's library....

How to create your own website? I tell you the secret... READ BOOKS AND SURF THE NET....Or ask your friends.

These are the books that i borrowed from the library. It is suitable for those who've never learnt about HTML and web programming before.

I read the "Teach Yourself HTML 4 in 24 Hours" book first and i've managed to create a simple website which you can find at www.tapakniaga.com. Actually i need less than 24 hours to learn and create that webpage. Then i move on for a better results by reading the "Beginning Web programming with HTML, XHTML, and CSS". Sounds easy right? Now it's your turn to borrow some books and create your own website too within 24 hours.

Creating/programming your own website with HTML?

So, you think you need a website to promote your business or for your Adsense/Amazon/Chitika program? ;p But don’t know how to create a website? Don’t even have any partner/friend that can’t help you? Some people are offering services in web designing. Some other people are offering you web template/lay-out/design, where you’ll just choose a template and insert your web content. So easy right? No need to learn lots of web programming. But think twice….u’ll have to pay for it and you’ll have some trouble to manage it in future…

So why not choose to have a weblog/blogsite and register with Blogger.com instead? Or Wordpress.com? Register for free and you already own your own blogsite where you can paste your Adsense Amazon/Chitika/Text-Link-Ads/Adbrite code. ;p No need to master web programming also, just keep blogging on any topic or share your photos about your daily life.

But you know what…web programming is not as difficult as you may think. I prefer creating my website all by myself using Microsoft Front Page with some basic knowledge of HTML. Try it yourself. It’s fun and you’ll feel proud of yourself. Borrow some books from the library. Look for books on web programming with HTML, XHTML, and CSS. You just write some easy HTML scripting on Notepad, which then be saved as (.htm). Plus some CSS for a better look of your website. Or you can try the Macromedia Dreamweaver. Easier and faster. Trust me.

The page elements...

Somebody out there.
Please give your opinions, or suggestions and leave a comment about my weblog...those page elements...such as the archives, my profile, the Google Adsense banners...how am i going to arrange those elements..how they should be arranged best.
So many elements and i can't arrange them attractively/effectively like YOU WISH.

And i've just signing up at Technorati.com. I'm not too sure how Technorati could help me in improving my weblog interactivity/functionality, so i'm trying hard to explore and learn more about it now. But i think Technorati is cool...

And i've just removing out my Chatterbox tool which i got from www.chatter.flooble.com.
And i'm going to put it back soon..just after i know where am i supposed to put it.

So, ive got difficulties here. And i really need support from my readers. ;p

How to get money from your website?

Someone ask me about how to generate money from your own website, when i was having breakfast at a 'mamak stall' this morning. I tell him, "Visit my blogsite at www.cyberhabit.blogspot.com". ;p haha (It's one kind of many other strategies on how to promote traffic to your site actually.)
And now, i'll explain to you again, briefly the process of having your own website and generating money from it, so that when you understand it better, you'll ask me more about it or you should just visit my weblog more frequently.
Firstly, you must learn a basic HTML (hypertext markup language) for your web programming plus some basic CSS (cascading style sheet) to enhance your web appearances. OR just find your friend to help you. At the same time, try to surf the internet more frequently to look at other people's website so that you can get more idea on how to design your website, or how you want your website to be look like, and decide what people can do in your website. So it means, you're searching for any idea for your business types/plan/strategy for the website you're trying to create. You may want to create a website like Friendster or Myspace, Ebay or Lelong, or any other website with specific purposes you may have thought of.
Secondly, after you're done with web designing, you should start considering on how you're going to pay or get paid for any business activities via the internet. So, you may have to search or register for a Paypal account, or Maybank2u, a credit card, or an E-Gold for payment mode for any internet business.
Thirdly, you'll have to register and pay for a domain name (for example www.your domain name.com) by using any suitable payment mode. You'll buy those domain name for your website, for example at least Rm35 a year from any webhosting service provider, as for Malaysians, there are several webhosting services such as Peng-u.net or Exabytes.com or Webhosting.com.my.
Fourthly, you will have to apply and pay annually at any webhosting service provider for your website hosting services, where you'll have to log-in, upload your website contents and update your website. This may cause you free (for a free webhosting services) or you'll may want to pay for it for around RM75 or more per year.
Then, after publishing/uploading your website folders/contents to that webhosting service provider, your website is available at the internet and is ready to be surf/browse via the internet anywhere around the world. You may update your website later and start doing your business from the website. You may sell services or products from your website, or you may paste Google Adsense code at your webpages for a good advertising program, or you may join many other affiliates program for your website to generate more money for yourself.
BUT the most important thing is about how you can let people know about your website and your businesses. I've wrote about this before which you should refer to. AND when more people know about your great website, you'll understand the power of internet in generating money for yourself.
I HOPE THAT I'VE HELPED YOU MUCH ABOUT HOW TO BEGIN WITH DOING YOUR OWN INTERNET BUSINESS... SO FEEL FREE TO LEAVE ME A COMMENT. HERE.. ....;p thank you..

How i get connected.. ;p

I am using an old notebook model, an Asus L2400E which i bought about 3 years ago for my study.. and now for my internet business activities.. It doesn't has a built-in wireless LAN so i have to buy a wireless adapter for my notebook around RM150...

Then i'll go to any cafe/bistro/or KFC ;p which provides a free wi-fi connection for me to get connected to the internet. But most of the time, i surf at the wireless internet hotspot within my college/hostel by which i'd pay around RM28 per month for an unlimited internet access for a month.
But for all of you out there that view my blog from a cybercafe, i recommend you to get your own internet connection at home (as for Malaysians, TMNet Streamyx is a good solution for getting a high-speed internet connection) so that you can maximize your internet activities and your earnings from any internet businesses you'd started. ;p
